Supporting a New Generation of Nurses

Scholarships are awarded to nursing students enrolled at partner SEC universities who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to practicing in Central Alabama after graduation. Students apply through their university's nursing program, which works directly with Baptist Health Foundation to identify candidates.

Students interested in applying should contact their nursing school's financial aid or scholarship office for current application cycles, requirements, and deadlines. Baptist Health Foundation does not accept direct applications from students.

Scholarship recipients are not contractually obligated to join Baptist Health's team after graduation. Yes. Baptist Health System covers the Foundation's administrative costs through a separate grant, which means every dollar donated to the New Generation Nurses Fund goes directly to student scholarships. This is a rare distinction and one the Foundation takes seriously.
